As I don’t watch television I honestly have no direct knowledge of how this been spun in mainstream media. I’m relying on third party information and the insulting sound bites spewed out by radio bulletins. But – tens of thousands, and growing, rushing to support a stand of the kind so wonderfully demonstrated at Gezi ParkĀ  – is a thing deeply newsworthy and should be celebrated for the exercise in active citizenship it is; as the explosive democratic energy that it is. But it seems that one politician is worth more than a 100,000 “mortals”
